MINISTRY TARGET
THE TARGET (Mid-week Connections) Connections are VERY important in Student Ministry. It’s a great way to build relationships and get to know each other. (Programs don’t develop relationships; people do!) We have a snac bar loaded with pizza, chips, drinks, candy and games such as pool, fooseball, air hockey, cards, board games, video games, games outside in warm weather, and just a relaxing atmosphere.
FOCUS IN (Monthly Events) Seasonal events include: Teen Camp, Super Bowl Party, 30-Hour Famine, Lock-ins, Theme parks, Pool parties, hayrides, Game Nights, Camping trips and many more.
POINT OF IMPACT (Discipleship) We encourage our students, after attending the Mid-week Connections or a monthly event, to take the next step and to attend our morning worship and join us for Sunday school.
GROUND LEVEL (ELEVATE) One Sunday a month where we…
- Lift up the name of Jesus
- Move ourselves higher and closer to Jesus
- Grow in our relationships with Christ (vertical)
- Grow in our friendships with others (horizontal)
- Raise our spirits (we do this when we worship together)
EXPLOSION (Bible Study) Come Sunday evening at 6 pm for our Sunday Night Live. (SNL) We will be going through curriculum from Group called “Live”. It is a web based program that will guide your student through the Bible with 144 sessions over the next 4 years.
SPREADING (1-3-12) One (1) life, in three (3) years, profoundly influenced the lives of twelve (12). Jesus, in His last three years of life did some incredible stuff with twelve ordinary men.
I am looking for a few “disciples” with whom I can spend time doing some incredible stuff. The target is effective and it does work. If students will give their best at each level, they will make it to the bulls eye and can be profoundly influenced!
We are preparing students to be future leaders. Our goal is to raise up a God fearing generation that will stand up for what is right and make a difference in their world!
